A Brief History of the Temple: - Shri Gayatri and Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy Temple, under the aegis of Annapoorna Charitable Trust (Regd.), (Regn.No. 121/2019) D.No. 30/13-14, Devnathpura, Bengalitola, Near Shava Shiva Kali Mandir, Near Pandey Ghat, Varanasi 221001, is managed by its Managing Trustee Shri A A Narasayya who is a staunch devotee of Lord Mahadeva.
The temple was consecrated on 31-05-2021 ie Vaisakha Bahula Panchami of Plava Nama Samvatsara. This temple is facing North Direction which is very much auspicious for visiting devotees. It is located in Kedar Khand of Varanasi thus by attracting thousands of Kasi devotees from far and wide. This Kshetra is also known as Hari Hara Kshetram and Panchaytan Khsetram, since the deities are Vinayaka, Shanmukha, Uma Bharadwajeswara, Mahalakshmi , Balaji (Lakshmi Venkateswara) , Aditya (Surya narayana) , Veda matha Panchamukha Gayatri
Kshetra palakas are Shri Garuda and Shri Hanuman.
Activities of the Trust:- This temple is open to public for Darsan from 5 AM to 9 PM which includes daily rituals of Suprabhata, Archana, Bhog and Sayana sewa apart from regular Harathi. Every Friday and Pournami Abhishekam is an added attraction to the temple.
ANNADANA (considered to be a sacred and prime in all Donations)
One of appreciable/grand gesture of this temple towards public is NITYAANNADANA to Vedic and Sanskrit students at 12 noon to 2 PM. At present 70 to 80 students out of an average figure of 100 are availing this facility daily under the scheme of SHRI VENKANTESWARA VIDYARDHI/YATRI BHOJANA PADHAKAM.
